Dominik Šišejković wins the ICT Young Researcher Award 2020

The profile area Information and Communication Technology (ICT)  at RWTH Aachen University honored this year Dominik Šišejković with the "ICT Young Researcher Award 2020",  for his contributions to the ICT related research. Dominik Šišejković is a doctoral student at the Chair for Software for Systems on Silicon (SSS) under the supervision of Prof. Rainer Leupers. This award includes a research grant of 1500 Euros and a certificate. The award was presented to Dominik Šišejković by Prof. Joost-Pieter Katoen, speaker of the ICT profile area committee at the RWTH Aachen University.

Under the motto "Protecting the Integrity of Hardware Designs: From Theory to Practice", Dominik Šišejković was able to contribute to the field of hardware security by introducing novel concepts in security evaluation metrics, vulnerability analysis and protection mechanisms - and most importantly, putting it all into practice in the form of the protected MiG-V processor, together with  HENSOLDT Cyber GmbH. His research was published in multiple international conferences and journals, and embedded into several teaching profiles, thereby building a strong foundation for hardware security research at RWTH Aachen University.
