From May until late July, five new interns, Mr. Chander Chandak, Mr. Tejas Naphade, Mr. Rajat Sen, Mr. Deblin Bagchi and Mr. Kapil Singh, are visiting the MPSoC Architectures research group of ICE. The interns are from IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay and Jadavpur University, with which ICE has had several academic exchanges in the past.
Mr. Chander Chandak is a junior undergraduate Student at IIT Kharagpur, India. His hometown is Balasore, India. He has been a part of Clicker Hardware team at IIT Bombay during May-June 2011.
Mr. Tejas Naphade is a junior undergraduate student in the dual degree program (B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and M.Tech in Micro-electronics) at IIT Bombay where he was the recipient of the Institute Academic Award for the year 2010-2011. Previously he has worked at Institute of Technical Physics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from May to July, 2011 on fiber bragg grating (FBG) sensors. His research interests include processor architectures, device reliability and sensor applications.
Mr. Rajat Sen is a 3rd year undergraduate B.Tech student in the department of Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. He has been awarded the Inlaks IIT scholarship for academic and extra-curricular excellence and He is also a Jagadish Bose National Talent search (JBNSTS) senior scholar. His fields of research interest include communication, computer architecture and design, and algorithms. He had done a practical training in P2power solutions Noida in the summer of 2011, in which he had worked on micro-controllers and LCD interfacing.
Mr. Deblin Bagchi is a 3rd year B.E. student in Computer Science and Engineering, Jadavpur University, India. He has worked in projects of Cryptography and Artificial Intelligence. He wishes to pursue a career in research.
Mr. Kapil Singh is a junior undergraduate in Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur, India. In May 2011, he went to Technion – Israel Institute of Technology for a 10 week project on Heterogeneous Chip Performance Optimization.
