Biography

Kenan Turbić received an MSc degree from the University of Sarajevo in 2011, and a PhD degree (Hons.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, in 2019. In 2019 and 2020 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the INESC-ID research institute, Lisbon, Portugal. Currently he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Communication Technologies and Embedded Systems (ICE), RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany, where he is also the Chief Engineer of the Chair for Distributed Signal Processing (DSP).

He has received several honors and recognitions during his education, as well as being awarded with travel grants for summer schools, conferences, and short-term scientific missions. He has actively participated in the COST Action CA15104 (IRACON), to which he has contributed with several technical documents and served as one of the Section editors for the final report book. He has participated in organization of several international conferences, most notably serving as the Publication Chair for EuCNC 2020 and BalkanCom 2022. He has reviewed manuscripts for a number of scientific journals and conferences.

His main research interests are wireless channel modeling and estimation, and PHY layer signal processing for wireless communications.
